The main objective of ISPM 15 is to prevent the spread of diseases and insects that can negatively affect ecosystems. By using treated wood, buyers and users of wooden packaging can be absolutely sure that there will be no obstacles to the transportation of goods around the world. ISPM15 affects all types of wooden packaging, such as pallets, boxes or cradles, which require phytosanitary treatment, fumigation, and marking with a registered and active number assigned by the authorities.
